Investing in the Wharfe Valley

When looking to invest anywhere, we know there are many financial criteria that need to be taken into account, but there are also some more simple, yet key reasons why putting hard earned income into a property in a particular area, makes sense.

So ‘would I live here?’ might not be such a bad place to start!

Of course, a more analytical approach to the process is always valuable. If we look specifically at investing in property in the Wharfe & Aire Valley and Ilkley in particular, then the following immediately come to mind:

  • Good schools
  • Pretty market town
  • Excellent shops and restaurants
  • Above average past and anticipated capital growth

The Wharfe Valley with its train line linking Leeds and Bradford, as well as an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report on Ilkley Grammar School means it should tick multiple boxes on any potential investor’s good investment list.

However, not to be just focused on Ilkley, the other ‘stops on The Wharfdale Line’ enjoy many similar advantages, but in a smaller village environment. We know that this will appeal in equal measure to many families looking to rent.

In short you could really say that The Wharfe Valley has it all… tha’ knows!

And history shows that the expectation of good capital growth also means that it is great place to look to your ‘legacy planning’!
